CODE OF CONDUCT
Bramble is committed to creating safe and accessible working environments in all our rehearsal and performance spaces. We will make all necessary allowances in order to foster respectful and collaborative outcomes, and we will cooperate with collaborators to provide the tools they need to perform their best work. We as an organization abide by the Not In Our House “Chicago Theatre Standards”. See full document here: https://notinourhouseorg.wordpress.com/
This document outlines Bramble’s strategy and plan to address, investigate, and resolve to the best of our abilities any incidents that may arise in a variety of circumstances ranging from live shows, digital shows, company correspondence, and internal company business. This plan specifically refers to incidents occurring during a Bramble event.
The goal of this strategy is to provide a clear & outlined place to report incidents specifically involving or taking place at a designated Bramble event (in person or digital) where they have either witnessed, or were subject to an incident of harm in any capacity such as:
injury;
theft or damage of property;
verbal/emotional abuse;
physical abuse;
sexual violence (including harrassment);
any form of discrimination, including but not limited to: sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia, xenophobia, or ageism
We have a strict zero-tolerance approach to discrimination, abuse, assault, harassment, or other violent or criminal activity of any kind. Any action that contradicts Bramble’s Mission Statement or Code of Conduct, even if the action occurs offsite or outside of productions, may result in punitive actions, including dismissal. Any situations of this nature will be resolved individually, without bias, and with the well being of our artists as a priority. If a situation arises where conflicts of interest, unusual circumstances, or other factors make unbiased judgment by Bramble staff or ensemble representatives untenable, an independent arbitrator may be retained to mediate or judge the case, if necessary.
