Bramble is looking for new plays!
Bramble is holding our first ever open submissions for full-length scripts from local Chicago-based playwrights.
Submissions will officially open at 12pm CDT on Tuesday, September 1 and will close at 12pm CDT on Tuesday, September 8.
What We’re Looking For…
We are looking specifically for original new work currently in development that is nourishing and challenging that explores the question of what it is to be Human.
We will not consider ten-minute plays, one acts, musicals. Adaptations will be considered if they are a significantly fresh take on the original material. Plays that have already been published or fully produced are not eligible; readings and/or workshops are fine.
We believe in human stories written by humans! Plagiarism and assistance from Artificial Intelligence (AI) writing tools are not allowed.
Please submit only one play.

A short statement regarding why you feel Bramble would be a good home for your play
Script Requirements:
Written and developed post-2020
Must not be published or have had a full professional production yet. Workshops and readings are okay.
Must have at least one completed draft
Must be full-length (at least 60 minutes)
Must require at least 1 and no more than 10 actors
